He was predeceased by: his brother William Floyd "Bill" Owens. He is survived by: his wife Carol Beth Owens (Scarborough); his children, Christi Smith (Rob) and Patrick Owens (Dacia (Knudson)); his grandchildren, Gage Weaver (Galyn), Connor Smith (Zach Martin), Mclane Smith (Hannah), Ella Spencer Smith, Ava Owens and Spencer Drake Owens; his great grandchildren, Kai Weaver, Yalli Weaver, Silas Weaver, Darson Weaver, Penelope Weaver, Noah Bozeman and Campbell Smith; and his parents, Garland Owens and Mercer Mae Owens (Jones).
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home (601 US-80, Haughton, LA 71037). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Ay Hill Crest Memorial Chapel (601 US-80, Haughton, LA 71037).
