With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Nelson Laborde of Hessmer, Louisiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Nelson left this world on June 21, 2025 at the age of 82, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Gaspard Laborde; his son John Laborde; his parents, Gus Laborde and Ruby Ducote Laborde; and his brother Charles Laborde (Myrtle).
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Laborde (Pamela) and Brian Laborde (Michelle); his grandchildren, Rachal Laborde Juneau, Stephen Laborde, Ashley Laborde Laurent and Matthew Laborde; and his great grandchildren, Benjamin Laurent, Courtney Juneau, Reed Juneau and Owen Juneau.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Escude Funeral Home (6608 Porterie St, Mansura, LA 71350). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (3645 Main St, Hessmer, LA 71341).
