He is survived by: his wife Carol Anne Kitchens Hellmers; his children, Richard Hellmers (Angie Musgrove) and Jill; his son-in-law Johnny Lavergne; his grandchildren, William Hughes, Kaitlyn Baldwin (Christopher) and Savanna Prevost (Joseph Reviere); and his sister Katie Russell.
