He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Pierson Adams; his parents, Myrtle Adams and Charles Adams; his siblings, Larry, Nathan Adams, Mary Ann Adams and Linda; and his brother-in-law Gary Wilcox.
He is survived by: his son Derek Adams Sr. (Cindy); his brothers-in-law, Danny Pierson (Tina) and Larry Pierson (Trisha); his grandchildren, Heather Buffington (Adam), Derek Adams Jr. (Shelby) and Tyler Adams (Whitney); and his great grandchildren, Aiden, Alex, Amelia, Harper, Charlotte, Maverick, Stetson and Hudson.
