He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome L. Butts and Mary Louise Bagley Butts; and his siblings, Karen Pruitt and Kenneth Stanley Butts. He is survived by: his wife Linda Farmer Butts; his children, David Jerome Butts, II (Alana) of Minden, LA, Stephen Thomas Butts (Kori) of Laurel, MT, Benjamin Marrion Butts of Haynesville, LA, Lori Tushner (Jeff) of Haynesville, Denise Hamilton (George) of Haynesville and Elizabeth Grace Butts of Haynesville; his siblings, Dennette Pruitt (Dan) of Haynesville, Ronnie Butts (Tilda) of Ocilla, GA, John Butts (Mary) of Mobile, AL, Rodney Butts of Fort Smith, AR and Tim Butts (Nancy) of Bossier City, LA; and his brother-in-law Tim Pruitt. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers honoring Mr. Butts. his family suggests memorials be made to the Evening Light Tabernacle.
