He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Brown and Jewel Lee Brown; his spouse Claire Baird of Homer, Louisiana.; his brothers, Leo, Shelton, Delton and Paul; his sister-in-law Margaret Brown; and his niece Donna Brown Bass.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Earl Smith, Pat Brown (Vicki) of Benton, LA, Paula Toney (Kent) of Haynesville, LA and David Brown of Cypress, TX.; his grandchildren, Derek Toney, Matt Brown, Reid Brown (Lindsey), Mindy Edwards (Jasper), John Brown (Natalie), Catee Ellerbe (Roger) and Ross Brown (Jade); his great grandchildren, Calvin Brown, Miller Toney, Madden Edwards, Deacon Brown, Caelyn Brown, Miles Toney, Adleigh Brown, Rowan Brown, Emery Edwards, Cameron Grace Brown, Luke Brown, Cameron Alexander Brown, Clayton Brown and Elaine Brown; his sisters-in-law, Anita Brown and Molly Brown; his nieces, Debbie Best, Ann Tidwell, Sherry Hauser, Mary Atkins and Melissa Sparkman; his grandsons, Ryan Brown, Jasper Edwards and Roger Ellerbe; Mary Kate, Neil Tubb and Sam Dowies.
