He was predeceased by: his parents, W. C. "Bill" Hightower and Beatrice Stevens Hightower; and his brother-in-law David Pixley. He is survived by: his wife Pam Pixley Hightower; his children, Michael W. Hightower of Homer, LA, Jennifer Holloway (Brad) of Athens, LA and April Smith (Brandon) of Athens, LA; his brother Bill Hightower (Kathy) of Homer, LA; and his grandchildren, Emilee Holloway, Luke Holloway, Lane Hightower, Katie Hightower, Lillie Smith and Pixley Smith. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers honoring Jerry, his family suggests memorials be made to The Hemispherectomy Foundation, [email protected] in honor of his first granddaughter, Emilee or Misfit Farms Rescue and Sanctuary, [email protected] in honor of his love for strays.
