It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Allen Young (Homer, Louisiana), born in Lisbon, Louisiana, who passed away on October 10, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Reginald Dresden Young and Mamie Ruth Lowrey Young; his siblings, Nolen "Bud" Young, Sidney Young and Gerry Aycock; his nephew Kenneth Aycock; Anita.

He is survived by: his siblings, Stephen Young of Ringgold, LA and Sue Jones (Richard) of Ruston, LA; his children, Scott Young (Sandy) of Athens, LA, Aaron Young (Janel) of Simsboro, LA, Kelly Vermeulen (Jim) of Hickory Creek, TX and Holly Elton (James) of Simsboro, LA; and his grandchildren, James Elledge, Phillip Gilreath, Will Young, Jasen Young, Robert Young, Allen Elton, Samantha Vermeulen, Jacob Vermeulen, Kayla Elton, Jesse Young, Jon Young and Jed Young. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
