With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kennon Ray McBride Sr. (Homer, Louisiana), who passed away on June 21, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett A. McBride and Estelle Cardwell McBride; and his siblings, Collier McBride, Eula Faye Cole, Robeline Martinez and Mildred Pate.
He is survived by: his wife Vivian Page McBride; his son Kennon Ray McBride, Jr. (Kim) of Athens, LA; his sisters, Juanita Frye and Edna Fern Zappa; his stepgrandson Clint Garrett (Ciera); and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Rylee, Brayden Aldridge, Jameson and Josie Garrett. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers honoring Kennon Ray, his family suggests memorials be made to Claiborne Parish Fire District #5 Athens Firemen's Fund, 320 Gantt Rodeo Road, Athens, LA 71003.
