She was predeceased by: her parents, John W. Bailey and Iva Martin Bailey; and her sister Jacquiline Holloway. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Adkins; her daughters, Lori Anderson (Jason) of Bastrop, LA and Amy Childress (Don) of Forney, TX; her sister Peggy Ward of Madisonville, LA; her grandchildren, Tinsley Carroll (Dylan), Hayden Childress, Jonathan Childress and Sarah Beth Childress; and her great grandchildren, Dawson and Cameron. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Arlington Cemetery (464 LA-146, Homer, LA 71040).
In lieu of flowers honoring Mrs. Adkins, her family suggests memorials be made to "I Love My Church" fund, First Baptist Church, 406 West Main Street, Homer, LA, 71040.
