With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Raymond Earl Hollenshead Sr. of Homer, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 6, 2026 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Ray Hollenshead, Sr. and Fern Prince Hollenshead; and his sister Carrie Jane Gibson. He is survived by: his wife Doris Mitchell Hollenshead; his children, Tammy Emerson (Allen) of Homer, LA, Raymond Hollenshead, Jr., Brian Hollenshead (Lori) and Keith Hollenshead (Rhonda); his siblings, Nina Nell Sanders of Haynesville, LA and Alvin "Rayboy" Hollenshead, Jr. (Suzanne) of Brazoria, TX; his grandchildren, Kristin Goede, Bradley Emerson, Matt Hollenshead, Heath Hollenshead and Holley Hatcher; and his great grandchildren, Cason Hollenshead, Addison Hollenshead, Anna Goede, Emily Goede, Sadie Emerson, Sawyer Emerson, Daxx Hollenshead and Tuff Hatcher. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
