We announce the death of Rodney Leo Haynes of Homer, Louisiana, who passed away on September 28, 2026, at the age of 76. Rodney will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elva Drew and Catherine Hadley Haynes; his stepfather Ivy Boyett; the mother of his children Ollie Lynn Miller Haynes; and his brothers, Travis Drew Haynes and Freddie Haynes.
He is survived by: his significant other Betty Glenn Haynes; his children, Shawn Christopher Haynes and Tiffanie Haynes Spillers (Christopher); his stepchildren, Roger Lee Smith (Brittney), Heather Smith Watts (Taff) and Angela Smith Self (Brad); his grandchildren, Amber of Zoey, C. J., Dakota, Shelli, Alexis, Whitney, Maggie, Gracie, Michael, Blakely and Bowen; and his great grandchild Braelynn. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rose-Neath Funeral Homes - Homer (405 E 5th St, Homer, LA 71040). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home (405 E 5th St, Homer, LA 71040).
