He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Melvin Dean and Gladys Sue Dean; his siblings, Melvin Dean, Floyd Dean and Fannie Sue Dean Merritt; his granddaughter Jessica Kay Dean; and his nephew James Fredrick Merritt.
He is survived by: his wife Jomalyn Dean; his children, Charles Dean (Brandi) and Pamela (Tom Leith); his grandsons, Christian Dean and Dallas Leith; and his brother James Dean (Nelle Jean). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family, and a host of friends.
