He is survived by: his wife Gay Powell Alford of Hornbeck, LA; his children, Alisa Carter (Glen), Teresa Tarpley (Darrell), Juanita Mitchell, Karen Fluitt (Tim) and John Alford (Angie); his siblings, Travis Alford, Billy Alford, Robert Alford (Margie), Philip Alford (Melba), Elizabeth "Liz" Alford and Nita Rose Alford; and his grandchildren, Buffy Gallion (Jason), Nikki Holliday (Gary), Wesley Mitchell, Shane Mitchell (Devin), Morgan Alford (Clayton), Patrick Fluitt (Katie), Justin Alford (Morgan), Trey Mitchell (Janney), Tyler Mitchell (Kara), Matthew Alford and Victoria Champ (Tanner).
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Plainview Baptist Church (7846 Plainview Rd, Hornbeck, LA 71439). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
