With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Aaron Dottery of Houma, Louisiana, born in Natchez, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 23, 2025 at the age of 76. As Aaron departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Aaron may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Aaron leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Mahoney Dottery; his son Mike Mahoney; and his siblings, Steve, Ernestine and Sam Dottery.
He is survived by: his children, Audra Teamer (Kevin) of Houston, TX, Rontel Jackson Hopes (Lucell, Jr.) of Houston, TX, Orlando Dottery (Monique) of Houston, TX, Sherryl of Houston, TX, Danny (Terri) of Houston, TX and Anthony Mahoney (Stephanie) of Houston, TX. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gertrude Geddes Willis-Terrebonne Funeral Home (617 Bond St, Houma, LA 70360). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
