Catherine Hornsby Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Catherine Hornsby (Houma, Louisiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 2, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James "Jimmie" Prosperie and Virgie Prosperie; and her siblings, Leonard Joseph Prosperie, James Prosperie, Jr., Donald Prosperie and Linda Bergeron.
She is survived by: her husband Stephen Hornsby; her sons, Dwayne Hornsby (Dawn) and Daryl Hornsby (Chantel); her grandchildren, Rebecca Brister-King, Marissa Hornsby and Lake Hornsby; and her sisters, Kathleen Theriot and Patricia "Pat" Thompson (Tom).
Viewing will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Ann Catholic Church (4355 LA-24, Bourg, LA 70343).
