He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora Verett and McGee (Charlie Williams); his grandmothers, Fanny Goings and Emma Goings Dickerson; his uncle Clarence; his sons, James Sr. Ronald, Gregory and Byron Williams; and his siblings, Clarence McGee, Michael Norman Sr., Mary Coleman and Charlene Norman.
He is survived by: his wife Wilma Warren Williams; his children, Juanika W. Allridge (Wilfred), Charles Williams Jr. and RaShe Williams (Cassandra); his sister Sandra; and his daughter-in-law Marilyn C. Williams (Wendy H. Williams). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and 4 godchildren.
