It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Chet Dufren of Houma, Louisiana, who passed away on September 30, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Chet is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Chet's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harris Dufren and Melda Dufren Sr.; his father-in-law Eugene (Wilma Dusenbery); and his brother Todd Dufren (Ruth). He is survived by: his wife Mary "Margaret" Dusenbery Dufren; and his sister-in-law Angela Dufren. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
