We announce the death of Earline Agnes Smith (Houma, Louisiana), who passed away on October 20, 2026, at the age of 87. Earline will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Dudley Smith Sr.; her parents, Norris Anthony Ledet and Agnes Marie Brunet Ledet; her parents-in-law, Sidney Smith Sr. and Bernice Smith; her brothers, Noris Ledet Sr. and Faron Ledet; her godson Steven Ledet; and her siblings-in-law, Sidney Smith Jr., Leroy Foret, Nolan Guise, O'Neil Foret, Ivan Boffanie and Eva Boffanie.
She is survived by: her children, Curtis Smith, Dudley Smith Jr., Rhonda Neil (Teddy) and Wanda Welch (Eddie); her grandchildren, Ricky Smith (Monica), Rusty Smith, Jessica Lirette (Joshua) of Nicole Smith, T. J, Neil (Talaya), Michael Smith, Lauren Rebert (Aaron) and Jonathan Neil (Dawn); her great grandchildren, Jenna Lirette (Dagen), Kenzie Fitch, Jaden Lirette (Angelina), Brenton Cyphers, Taiden Neil, Landon Smith, Joshlyn Lirette, Riley Smith, Kayson Neil, Rustyn Smith, Ryder Smith, Colton Rebert, Cheyenne Rebert, Julianne Neil, Caliann Rebert, Easton Neil and Levi Neil; her great great grandchildren, Ka'miyha Breaux and Briella Boudreaux; her brothers, Ervin Ledet Sr., Nolan Ledet Sr. (Nona) and Raymond Ledet (Julia); and her sisters-in-law, Brenda Ledet, Thea Ledet, Nellie Guise, Brenda Foret and Lona Mae Smith.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (1985 LA-308, Thibodaux, LA 70301). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Charles Church (1985 LA-308, Thibodaux, LA 70301). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM.
