We announce the death of Elaine Catherine Code Witty (Houma, Louisiana), who passed away on October 14, 2026, at the age of 86. Elaine will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her mother Evelyn Krapp; her son William J. Witty; her husband Bill; and her son Billy. She is survived by: her daughter Pamela Witty-Oakland (Michael); her former spouse Donna Witty Quin (Patrick); her grandchildren, Myles Lecompte, Micah Witty-Oakland, Breanna and Shelbie Witty; and her siblings, Evelyn "Dolly" Guidroz, John "Buddy" Code, Jr. and Mary John Code. She is also survived by her daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Bernadette Catholic Church (409 Funderburk Ave, Houma, LA 70364). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Francis Cemetery.
