He was predeceased by: his parents, Avis Halbert and Dean Halbert; his daughter Lori Halbert; his stepchildren, Jeanine Louviere and Mark Ledet; and his siblings, Deana Tesch, Jack Halbert and Dean Halbert.
He is survived by: his wife Era Mae Halbert; his brother Bill Brodie Halbert (Lynn); his children, Jeff and LeAnne Halbert; and his stepchildren, Joan Ledet and Leonard Ledet, Jr. (Dee). He is also survived by his twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren and "Uncle Bud" to his many nieces and nephews.
