It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Junius Joseph Duplantis Sr. of Houma, Louisiana, who passed away on April 24, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson Joseph Duplantis and Emily Lodrigue Duplantis; his son Junius Joseph Duplantis Jr.; and his sisters, Beulah Robichaux, Peggy Wallace and Diane Boudreaux.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnna LeBoeuf Duplantis; his son Jason Jerome Duplantis; his siblings, Galen Duplantis (Eva), Eula Hebert, Hazel Robichaux, Rosemary Wallis and Delta Fry (Barry); his grandchildren, Jada Janean Duplantis (Oray) and Justin Joseph Duplantis (Jamie); his great grandchildren, Liam, Sophie and Paxton; his siblings-in-law, Billy Authement (Lydia), Bette Naquin (Gofrey) and Shirleen Riley; and his daughter-in-law Sandra Olivier. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
