With sadness, we share the passing of Kurt Adam Marcel (Houma, Louisiana). Kurt, born on February 13, 1943, passed away on August 27, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Eva-Jean; the mother of his children Geneva Schouest Marcel; his sons, Scott and Timothy Marcel; his parents, Sullivan Marcel and Louise Molaison Marcel; and his siblings, Russell, Junel, Louis, Norman Marcel, Ethel Babin, Hazel Flice, Louise Porche and Rita Mae Porche.
He is survived by: his daughter Tonia Falgout (Brad Scott); his grandchildren, Keith (Breezie Falgout), Gauge Marcel and Joshua Falgout; his great grandchildren, Breonna and Kingston Falgout; his sister Alice Clark; and his pets, Scooby Doo and Princess. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church (8594 E Main St, Houma, LA 70360). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Francis Cemetery.
In addition to his commitment to his profession and his love for animals, Kurt was also a beacon of hope for many, dedicating himself to the noble cause of blood donation throughout his life.
