She was predeceased by: her parents, Luke Duthu and Rosemary Fazzio Duthu. She is survived by: her husband Joseph W. Smith; her daughters, Gerri Huffman and Stella Guidry; her grandchildren, Lisa Quinn, Lori Bynog, Dawn Allison, Shawn Guidry and Tara Guidry; her great grandchildren, David Gros, Jesha Ames, Tiffany Gave, Justin Timmons, Tabitha Timmons, Kyle Allison, Imani Guidry and Jordan Guidry; her great great grandchildren, Tyler Gros, Trevor Gros, Sonny Ames, Declan Ames, Scarlett Ames, Peyton Gave and Everett Gave; and her siblings, Rose Christen, Joseph Duthu, Houston Duthu, Raymond Duthu, Rita Duthu Dion, Nora Duthu Fitch, Emile Duthu, Myron Duthu, Libby Duthu Brunet and Claude Duthu.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chauvin Funeral Home & Crematory (5899 LA-311, Houma, LA 70360). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church (8594 E Main St, Houma, LA 70360).
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
