We announce the death of Magnus Charles DeHart Sr. of Houma, Louisiana, who passed away on October 11, 2026, at the age of 93. Magnus will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his spouse Shirley Ann Voisin DeHart; his parents, Davis Joseph DeHart and Lillian Luke DeHart; his children, Magnus "Buck" Charles DeHart, Jr. and Pamelia DeHart Fowler; his great grandchildren, Madilynn Stroud and Jude DeHart; his son-in-law Kenneth Cunningham; and his siblings, Jervais DeHarte, Doris Authement, Leroy DeHart, Douglas DeHart, Earl DeHart, Aubrey DeHart and Barbara Carlos.
He is survived by: his children, Patty DeHart Cunningham, Faron DeHart (Donna), Rory DeHart (Lynn) and Shirley "Turtle" DeHart Fabre (Jerome); his children-in-law, Debra DeHart Farrell and Kenneth Fowler; his grandchildren, Torrell DeHart Hebert (Heath), Amber DeHart Brown (Edward Brown), Matthew Fowler, Jennifer DeHart, Ashley DeHart, Kelsey Fowler Scariano (Paul), Sadie DeHart, Joshua Fabre and Jade Fabre; his great grandchildren, Brooke (Tyler Dean), Bryce, Myles, Kingston, Kinzlee, Abigail, Evalynn, Edward, Eamonn, Anne, Edith, Savannah, Arabella and Paul Jr.; and his great great grandchild Hudson. He is also survived by numerous Godchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Annunziata Catholic Church (2011 Acadian Dr, Houma, LA 70363). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 12:15 PM at the St. Francis Cemetery (6157 W Main St, Houma, LA 70360).
