Owen D. Brewer Jr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Owen D. Brewer Jr. of Houma, Louisiana, who passed away on July 22, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Owen is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Owen's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Frances Brewer; his parents, Owen D. Brewer, Sr. and Jewel Campbell Brewer; and his brother Gary Brewer. He is survived by: his son Owen "O. D." Brewer, III (Celeste Brewer); his stepdaughter Elaine Sutherland; his grandsons, Robert Brewer and Joseph Brewer; and his brother Jack Brewer. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the West Park (4511 W Park Ave, Gray, LA 70359). A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations to be made to the United Veterans League (insert address) in Owen, Jr.'s name and memory.
