He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Goreson and Frank A. Nemeth; and his siblings, John, Joe, Andy, Steve and Ann N. Bertone.

He is survived by: his close friend Viola G. Nemeth; and his children, Patricia N. Ard (Jarrod), James B. Nemeth (Kay) and Randolph S. Nemeth. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
