Nina Ploof Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nina Ploof of Independence, Louisiana, born in Amite, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 8, 2025 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Nina leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Nina may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimmie Addison and Rose Mary Addison; her husband Dwayne Ploof; and her brother Jack Addison. She is survived by: her daughter Veronica Barrios (Layman); her grandchildren, Beckham Barrios, Kayden Barrios and Brennen Barrios (Mysti); and her siblings, Jamie Addison, Mary Jo Balado (Vance) and Robin Guillot (Robert).
Visitation was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Helena Catholic Church (122 S 1st St, Amite City, LA 70422). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
