He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldridge Stewart and Elvie Stewart. He is survived by: his siblings, Christine Stewart Herring, Oscar "Johnny" Stewart and Eddie "Push" Stewart (Janice Stewart). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
