She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh John Cart and Laverna Louise Ortego Cart. She is survived by: her husband Joseph Donald Smith of Iota; her daughters, Nicole Smith of Baton Rouge and Julie Dupuis (Fulton) of Iota; her grandchildren, Brett Simon of Colorado, Drew Dupuis of Germany and Hudson Dupuis of Iota; and her siblings, Toni Trahan, John T. Cart, Glenn Cart (Liz) and Lisa Lejeune (Kevin). She is also survived by her husband, children and grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (604 St Joseph Ave, Iota, LA 70543).
