It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Fontenot (Iowa, Louisiana), born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, who passed away on April 16, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Theo Fontenot and Julia LeBleu Fontenot; her husband John Chesson, Sr.; and her son Marshall Chesson. She is survived by: her children, John Chesson, Jr. (Nikki), Brenda Billings (Jeff) and Allen Trahan (Lisa); and her siblings, Judy Mott (Buddy), Joann Miller (Malcolm), Joyce Lisotta (Tommy), John Fontenot and Larry Fontenot (Kathy). She is also survived by ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
