He was predeceased by: his father Orville Weldon Mercer; his sons, Orian and Rennia Mercer; his grandmother Edith Mae Fruge; and his pet Fantasia.
He is survived by: his mother Dolores Daigle (R. J.); his children, Jesseca Grice (Travis), Trace Mercer (Jarvis "JuJu" Ceasar), Jesse Mercer (Kristen Teswood) and Jackie Mercer (Savanah Mercer); his siblings, Bruce Mercer (Julet) and Elena Garvin (Dean Garvin); his godson Shane Deshotel; the mother of his children Margaret Rider; Dwayne Daigle (Cindy Daigle). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren.
