He is survived by: his wife Margaret Bertrand; his children, David Marcantel (Christine), Jerome Sonnier (Vicki), Letha Bertrand, Nanette Castille (Richard) and Christine Leger (Mike Fontenot); and his siblings, Roland "Perch" Bertrand (Henrietta), Collins Bertrand (Althea) and Jeanette Fontenot (Donald). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
