She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Ardoin and Libby Ardoin (DeRouen); her husband James "Jimmy" Cookson; and her brother Sonny Ardoin. She is survived by: her children, Christine Skubal (Terry), Kathy Cookson, Alan Cookson (Barbara), Janine Smith (Koony), Jeffery Cookson and Dwayne Cookson (James); and her sisters, Norma Lee Guillory and Priscilla Richard (Russell). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
