He was predeceased by : his former life partner Minerva Griffin Strittman; his parents, C. W. "PeeWee" and Mamie Agnes Jones Strittman; and his siblings, Marie Hodges and John Strittman.

He is survived by : his wife Martha F. Strittman; his children, Melissa Dawn Lawson (Steve) and Don E. Strittman, Jr. (Lisa); his stepchildren, Annisa Wesley (Joe), Jessica Cunningham (Rickey), James Ray Wesley (T'Lane), Veronica Young (Renior) and Shanna Wesley (Kendrall); and his siblings, Patricia Starnes (Robert), Roger Strittman (Valarie) and Dean Strittman Numerous (Sherry). He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
