He is survived by: his wife Edna Picard Smith; his children, Daniel, Smith Jr. (Brandy Courville), Mitchell Smith (Celina), Rachel Badeaux (Steven "Brother" Jr.), Marilyn, Troy Jr. and Blake Smith; his grandchildren, Daniel Smith Carter, Nichole Smith Carter, Dustin Courville, Mitchell, Smith Jr., Jordan Smith, Carrigan Smith, Sharkey Badeaux, Chase Badeaux and Troy (Lil' Troy); his sons, Logan, Kai Smith and Coraline Smith; and his siblings, Jeanette Bourque, Annette Domingue, Linda Richard, Milton Smith, Raymond Smith, Elie Smith, Theodore "Odore" Smith, Johnny Smith, Paul Smith, Dwayne "Dino" Smith and Clarence Smith.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Victory Tabernacle Church (19145 LA-182, Jeanerette, LA 70544). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
