He was predeceased by: his wife Clarice Sherrill; his parents, Frank Sherrill and Christine Sherrill; his siblings, Brooks Sherrill, Edwin Sherrill, Roy Sherrill, Carl Allen Sherrill, David Sherrill and Louise Gentry; and his foster parents, Joe, Christine Francis, Louise Green and David Francis.
He is survived by: his son David L. Sherrill (Chasity Sherrill) of Jena; his grandsons, Dylan Deville and Christian Sherrill; and his sisters, Kay Smith, Fay Grantham, Joanna Daily, Marie Cathey and Bonita Franklin.
