He was predeceased by: his former wife Sheila Jo Evans; his wife Debra Poole Evans; his parents, Elmos Evans and Elva Willis Price Evans; and his siblings, Margaret Long, Ima Jean Sandifer, Glen "Pete" Evans and Donna Gail Robertson.
He is survived by: his children, Tony Van Evans and Tracy Zimmerman; his grandchildren, Dainelle Brown (Heath) and Dillon McCartney (Madelyn); his great grandchildren, Landon Ty Brown, Camryn Brown, Layla Brown and Pete Thomas McCartney; and his sister Beth Evans.
