She was predeceased by: her parents, J. T. "Tom" Rodney and Alda Isabel Rodney; her siblings, Emily Elaine Rodney Lucas and William Boyd Rodney; and her significant other Gaylon Bruce Taylor.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Joy (Bobby Doughty) of Summerville, LA, Patsy Sharp (Allen Culp) of Rhinehart, LA, Ernest "Buddy" Sharp Jr. of Jena, LA and Alda Jean Latham (Tommy) of Winnfield, LA; her grandchildren, Nancy Wiley (Darren), David Joy (Laurie), April Capps (Jeremy), Shay Tims (Sam), Valarie Sharp (Colby) and Garrett Sharp; her sister Tommye Jean L'Hoste of New Orleans, LA; her daughter-in-law Cindy Joy Sharp of Jena, LA; George "Corkey" Clancy. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
