She was predeceased by : her parents, Lawrence Prather and Ophelia Istre Prather; and her siblings, Vernice Prather, Altia St. Amant, Harry Prather, Wallace Prather, Leverse Prather and John Prather.

She is survived by : her sister Ethel Gunnels; and her sister-in-law Janet Prather Melanson (James). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
