He was predeceased by: his son-in-law Chris Dupuis; his sisters, Anna Gary and Natalie Quebedeaux; his brother-in-law Nolan Gary; and his parents, Joseph Young and Eula Young.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Young; his daughters, Tricia Dupuis, Candace "Buddy" Bond and Kristen "Kevin" Trahan; his sister-in-law Rhonda Young; and his close friends, Steve and Frances Miller. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
