We announce the death of Barbara Duhon Mier (Jennings, Louisiana), who passed away on September 7, 2026, at the age of 76. Barbara will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Adrias "Pigeon" Duhon and Celeste Ardoin Duhon. She is survived by: her husband Charles "Eddie" Mier; her children, Adrias Mier and Elizabeth Mier Michelli; her grandchildren, Celeste Leanna Michelli and Stratton Alexander Michelli; and her great grandchildren, Emmee Grace Thibodeaux and Sunnee Kate Elizabeth Hughes.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Matthews Funeral Home - Jennings (511 N Cutting Ave, Jennings, LA 70546). A rosary was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
