She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilson Fontenot, Sr. of Church Point, LA and Addie LeJeune Fontenot of Jennings, LA.; her husband Druse D. A. Deshotel; her son Wayne Deshotel; and her siblings, Edna Faul and Wilson Roy Fontenot, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughter Lou Ewing (Cleveland); and her siblings, Ira Fontenot (Dorothy) and Anita Gatte. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews.
