She was predeceased by: her parents, John Stephenson and Juanita Cormier; her stepfather Ray Cormier; her son Andrew Guidry; her brother Troy Stephenson; her siblings-in-law, Tessy Guidry, Kenneth Guidry and Robert "Bobby" Guidry; her in-laws, Andy and Marie Guidry; her niece Malori Guidry; and her uncle Jerry Roy.
She is survived by: her husband Darryll Guidry; her daughter Ashley Webb (Craig); her stepsister Toni Brown; her siblings-in-law, Susan Guidry, Myra Hebert (Billy), Burt Guidry (Jackie) and Raymond Thibodeaux; her grandchildren, Bentley Joseph and Harper Drew; her niece Heather Hebert (Billy); and her nephews, Josh Clement, Spencer Comeaux (Riley), Jon Michael Guidry (Morgan) and Noah Hebert. She is also survived by her family, friends.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM at the Miguez Funeral Home (114 E Shankland Ave, Jennings, LA 70546). A rosary was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 8:00 PM at the same location.
The family requests that any donations and in lieu of flowers to be made to Hospice of Acadiana, in memory of Genia.
