He is survived by : his mother Vanessa Dale Elkins Self; his son Simon; his brother Darrell "Winkie" Self (Roilyn); his nephews, Darrell, Dustyn and Hunter; his sister Erin Thibodeaux; his nieces and nephews, Kalen, Piper and Karson; his brother Dale Dolin (Melonie); his nephews, Andrew Dolin and Austin Davies; his sister Amy Dolin; and his nieces, Kristin and Kelcie Hurt.
