He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Shuman and Cora Knight Shuman; his wife Kay Shuman; his son Kris Shuman; and his siblings, Walt Shuman, Karl Shuman and Lois Shields.
He is survived by: his children, Mitzy Landry (David) of Jennings, LA, Greg Shuman (Sonya) of Mermentau, LA and Lannye Shuman of Mermentau, LA; his daughter-in-law Beth Shuman of Austin, TX; his son Russ Reed (Debbie) of Waco, TX; his grandchildren, Laken Shuman, Alaine Landry, Tresslyn Landry West, Baylee Shuman Judice, Chloee Shuman, Grace Shuman Hastings, Trevor Reed and Reagan Reed; and his great grandchild Merlin Boudreaux.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Matthews Funeral Home - Jennings (511 N Cutting Ave, Jennings, LA 70546). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
