It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Owen Cooper of Jennings, Louisiana, born in Rosepine, Louisiana, who passed away on July 27, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, O. Z. Cooper and Verdie Singletery Cooper; his wife Bobbie Cooper; and his granddaughter Crystal Cormier. He is survived by: his children, Jude Cormier (Nora) of Crowley, LA, Sheena Herbert (Chuck) of Lafayette, LA, Benita Dugas (James) of DeRidder, LA and Rhonda June Whiddon of DeRidder, LA; his sister Geraldine Hubbard of Burkeville, TX; and his grandchildren, Brandy Cormier, Kaleb Cormier, Taylor Cormier, Holly Absher, Nicholas Cormier, Jerritt Dugas and Bryanne Farr. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
