He is survived by: his wife Marie Thibodeaux Smith; his children, Michael Todd Smith (Eva), Jason Peter Smith (Dona), Christine May, Carol Boudreaux, Bill Guidry and Rachelle Guidry; his grandchildren, Jadon Smith (Madison), Jillian Smith, Jordan Smith (Jannah), Leah Gondron, Lance Roy, Michael Boudreaux, Matthew Boudreaux, Daniel Foreman, Alexandria Guidry, Nick Ewing, Megan Istre, Nikki Istre, Travis Istre and Maci Istre; and his siblings, Rodrick Smith, Stephen Smith, Anthony Jude Smith, Sandra Tarou, Diana Mouton and Martha Farmer.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Matthews Funeral Home - Jennings (511 N Cutting Ave, Jennings, LA 70546). A rosary will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (515 Bryan St, Jennings, LA 70546). A burial will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at the Calvary Cemetery (518 Ledoux St, Jennings, LA 70546).
