She was predeceased by: her husband John "J. W." Ambrose; and her parents, Harold Gross and Ruby Brown Gross. She is survived by: her sons, Jeremy Ambrose (Mary), Joshua Ambrose (Karen) and Jonathan Ambrose (Mandy); and her brother Dwight Gross. She is also survived by grandmother to her ten grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family request to make a donation to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association, in memory of Mrs. Shirley.
