He was predeceased by: his parents, Gaston Guidry and Eula Guidry; his son Kenneth Wilbur; his wife Lou Irra Gautreaux; and his siblings, Harry, Gaston, Jr. and Jane.
He is survived by: his sons, Greg Guidry (Jane) and Richard "Joe" Guidry, Sr. (Necia); his grandchildren, Stephen Guidry-White (Claire) and Caroline Armacost (Jon); his great grandchildren, Samuel, Juliana, Maximus and William; his grandson Christopher Guidry (Danielle); his great grandchildren, James, Beau and Molly; his grandchildren, Richard Joseph Guidry, Jr. and Sophie Grace Hixon (Connor); his stepgrandchildren, Cameron Dejean (Kelly), Griffen Dejean and Christopher Horvath (Franchesca); Callan, Annalyse, Sadie, Nicholas Horvath, Courtney Horvath, Samuel, Keene and Gabriel Horvath.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Matthews Funeral Home - Lake Arthur (314 Kellogg Ave, Lake Arthur, LA 70549). A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church (203 Commercial St, Lake Arthur, LA 70549).
